David Compton BCOM LLB
David joined the firm in 2002 and is a senior associate. He has extensive experience in all aspects of property law including subdivisions, leasehold structures, major property acquisitions and large-scale commercial sales. He also advises on trusts and general commercial law.
David likes nothing better than to get immersed in a problem and emerge with a commercial solution that he can sell to his clients. He has, for many years, represented major developers in asset disposals, involving the highest level of complexity. More recently, he has been working with clients in the area of fractional ownership, which involves the nexus between property and securities law, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. David has a passion for the beach and water sports, as well as having strong interests in music and travelling. He has also been known to dabble in DIY and can turn his hand to anything from car mechanic to builder, which is reflected in his no nonsense approach to the law. p +64 9 306 1125 | m 021 305 533 | e david@kclaw.co.nz |
